Unniyappam

Thinking of what to make  for tea time ? And that to an easy  one which can be prepared without consuming much of your time. Don’t worry here is an easy and tasty recipes that would  make you happy. What about unniyappam? Unniyappam is very easy to prepare if you keep all the ingredients ready. And you could also store it for almost a week in an airtight container. Isnt it sounds nice? If you haven’t tasted unniyappam, please try it once. You would love it.

Here goes an easy recipes to prepare  unniyappam.

Unniyappam copyIngredients

Raw rice powder- 1 cup
Wheat powder -2 tsp
Palayankodan banana- 3
Jaggery- 250- 300gms
Cardamon powder-1/4 tsp
Sesame – 2 tsp
Method

  • Grind the Banana in mixer and make  a paste.
  • Melt the jaggery by using little water.
  • Mix all the other ingredients .Mix well using a spoon and make a batter little tight than that of idly.
  • Keep aside the batter for 30-45 mins.
  • Heat the unniyapam pan.pour little oil into each.
  • Pour 2 spoon dough into each and lower the flame. Don’t allow the unniyapam to burn
  • Turn the unniyappam,when the side turns brown.
  • Drain excess oil on tissue paper and enjoy having unniyappam

Note;

You could store unniyappan in an airtight container for 2-3 days.You can adjust the flavour of banana according to your taste.you could add coconut bites as well to the batter if love the taste of it.
