Morilla Moru Curry

Morilla moru curry is as same as meen illa meen curry.This dish most popular in Malapuran area in Kerala. The preparation is very easy and can be prepared with readily available ingredients in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Tamarind(Valan puli)- lemon sized
Rice flour- 1 & 1/2 Tsp
Curry leaves- few
Green chillies-2
Grated coconut-1/2 cup
Garlic-4-5
Ginger-small pieces
Turmeric powder
Cumin seeds
Shallots- 4-5

Method

  • Boil Tamarind by adding water, green chilies, curry leaves, and turmeric powder till the raw smell goes.
  • Grind together grated coconut, garlic, ginger, shallots, turmeric powder and cumin seeds to a fine paste.
  • Make a fine paste of rice flour by adding little water.
  • Add coconut paste and rice paste into the curry and cook on low flame. Mix well for a few seconds.
  • Turn off the flame and Serve with Rice.
