How to Make Easy Egg Biriyani

In this video, I am showing you how to make an easy Egg Biryani.


Basmati Rice – 3 Cups
Boiled Egg – 4
Onion – 2
Onion – 1 for frying
Garlic – 6
Ginger – Medium
Green Chilli – 4
Chilli Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Garam Masala or Biriyani Masala -1/2 – ¾ Tsp
Curd – 3-4 Tbsp
Ghee -1-2 Tbsp
Cardamom – 3
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon – Small
Bay Leaf -1
Tomato – 2
Cashews & Raisins
Water – 5 1/2 Cup


Roast Cashew Nuts and Raisins in ghee and keep aside.
Heat oil and fry one sliced onion till light golden brown. And keep it aside.
Wash the rice and soak for 20 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside.
Heat Ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add Bay Leaves, Cinnamon, Cloves, and Cardamom and sauté for few minutes. Add crushed Ginger, Garlic and Green Chillies. Sauté for till light brown color.
Now add sliced big onion and saute till it becomes golden colour.
Lower the flame and add all the powders and mix well and sauté for 5 minutes till the raw smell goes. Add tomatoes. Cover and cook in low flame.
Add whisked curd into this mix well, when the tomatoes are cooked well.
Add few cashew nuts, raisins, mint and coriander leaves (optional)
Finally, add the boiled egg (prick each egg with a fork before adding) and mix well. Add Drained basmati rice and add 5 & ½ cup water and boil well. Lower the flame when water starts boiling. Check salt and add if required.
