Beetroot Pickle Recipe

It is the delicious and spicy pickle that adds the perfect flavour combination for a plate of hot biryani. Any biryani lover would vouch for the incredible flavour that a tiny bit of pickle would add to the dish. The sweetness from the dates perfectly cuts through the sourness and spiciness of the beetroot pickle. Try out this unique recipe of beetroot pickle.


Dates -20
Beetroot -1 Small
Carrot – 1/2
Green chilli – 6
Garlic – 2 Pods
Ginger – Small
Turmeric Powder – 1/4tsp
Chilli Powder- 1 Tsp
Vinegar – less than 1/4 Cup
Sesame oil or Coconut Oil – 4 Tbsp


Wash deseed and soak dates in 1 cup of hot water for 30 mins. Then mash well, keep side
Grate beetroot and carrot .keep aside
Heat oil, add garlic, ginger, green chilli and salt.
Saute for 2 minutes in medium heat.
Now add all powders and saute.
Now add dates and cook.
Now add beetroot carrot and mix well.
Finally, add vinegar and cook for another 5 minutes. Check and adjust the taste.
So the tasty biriyani pickle is ready to serve
