Eggless Marble Cake/Zebra Cake Recipe

If you can’t decide whether you want to make a chocolate cake or vanilla cake, why not combine the two and make a marble cake/Zebra Cake? This cake is wonderfully rich with a moist and tender crumb.

Curd- 1 Cup

Castor Sugar- 1 Cup

Oil- 1 Cup

Maida-2 Cup

Baking Powder- 1 Teaspoon

Baking Soda-1/2 Teaspoon

Milk-4 Tablespoon

Cocoa Powder-3 Tablespoon

Vanilla essence-1 Teaspoon


Preheat oven at 180 degree celsius for 10 minutes. Prepare a loaf tin with butter paper.

Take a bowl and mix together Curd and Castor sugar until the sugar dissolves completely. Now add Oil and mix well.

Sieve together Maida, Baking powder, Baking soda and add into it and mix well. Add 2 Tablespoon milk and mix well.

Add 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence and mix well.

Now divide the batter and add cocoa powder into one half and mix well. Add 2 tablespoon milk and mix well.

Add 1 spoon of the white batter into the loaf tin. Now add one spoon of chocolate batter and repeat the process. Tap the loaf tin twice. Using a spoon or a knife draw a zigzag design in the batter.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes at 180 degrees or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 10 to minutes before de- molding.
