Egg-less Whole Wheat Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  • Wheat/Atta- 1& ¼ cup
  • Sugar- ¾ cup
  • Baking soda-1 tsp
  • Cocoa powder-1/4 cup
  • Buttermilk-1 cup
  • Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil-1/2cup
  • Salt-1/4 tsp
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes before baking.
  2. Prepare a baking tray by applying oil and dusting the flour. Dust off the excess flour and keep it aside.
  3. Sieve together wheat powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt and mix  properly
  4. Add sugar into the dry ingredients and mix properly.
  5. Make a small incision at the center using the whisk and add the buttermilk and oil into it and mix properly. Make a smooth batter without any lumps.
  6. Add vanilla essence and mix.
  7. Pour the batter in the prepared tin and tap the cake tin to release the air bubbles.
  8. Bake for 35 to 45 mins until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. You can also bake the cake in the pressure cooker or in a steamer.
