Prepare the cake tin by greasing it with butter and dusting with some flour. Dust off the excess flour.
Preheat your cooker on low flame.
Sieve together the dry ingredients, maida, cinnamon powder and baking powder and keep it aside.
Cream together butter and sugar until it is soft and fluffy.
Add eggs one by one and beat properly.
Add vanilla essence and mix.
Smash or make the bananas into a paste form.Blend this into the above mix.
Fold in your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients and mix only until well incorporated. Don’t over mix.
Pour the batter in the prepared tin.
Add walnuts on top of the batter and Place the cake pan carefully over the stand and cover the lid don’t put whistle.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes on low fame or until a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
After taking out your cake from the cooker, be patient and let it cool completely. Handling a hot cake increases the chances of breaking it, since a hot cake is very delicate. Let the cake cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before demolding it. After demolding it let it rest on your cooling rack for another 10 minutes.
Tasty and delicious banana walnut cake is now ready to serve.
Notes
Always use a good quality, heavy and thick bottom cooker. Remove the Gasket (rubber ring) before baking. Don’t use weight (whistle).Use a small stand in between the cake tin and the cooker. Remember to use ingredients at room temperature.
