Blueberry Cake

Do you love baking???  Or Do you enjoy baking??? I am sure if the cake turn out well, you would surely love and enjoy baking. Baking a cake is as simple as measuring ingredients,mixing them in right order and remembering to take the cake out of the oven before it burns.

Homemade cake is the best way to make any occasion extra special.Try out this simple cake  and enjoy.Hope you will love it.

I got this recipes from a cookery show .I tried this recipes and it turn out well.

Bake up a sweet treat with  blueberry cake.Here goes the recipes for a yummy blueberry cake.

Ingredients

  • 170gms Maida
  • 170gmsPowdered Sugar
  • 70ml Vegetable oil
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 3-4 tbsp Blueberry syrup

For Icing

  • Whipping cream
  • sugar syrup
  • blueberry syrup

Method

  • Preheat the oven @180 degrees
  • Grease and line a baking tray.
  • Soak Blueberry in sugar syrup for 5 days and make a paste.
  • Separate egg whites and yolk in separate bowl .
  • Beat egg whites by adding powdered sugar little by little until soft and fluffy.
  • Beat egg yolk in high speed and add in vanilla essence , honey and vegetable oil.
  • Pour in the yolk mix into the the egg white and gradually fold in using a spatula.
  • Mix maida and baking powder and using a strainer ,stain the maida mix into the egg white mix and fold in.
  • Add the blueberry syrup and fold.
  • Pour the batter in the prepared tin.
  • Bake the cake in a preheat the oven @ 180 degrees  for 35- 45 mins until a toothpick inserted came out clean.

Icing the cake

  • Allow the cake to completely cool down.
  • Take a serrated knife and cut each cake layer in half, horizontally. you will now have 3 cake layers.Place one of your cake layers, top of the cake facing down onto your serving platter.
  •  Soak the layer by using sugar syrup.Evenly spread the whipping cream over it and add the blueberry syrup and spread.
  • Place the second layer cake above it.Repeat the same process for all the layers.
  • Spoon a large dollop of whipping cream onto the center of the cake.Use a spatula/Palette knife to paddle the icing to the edges of the cake.For the sides, use the spatula/ palette knife to smear smaller amounts of icing in sections, turn the cake and repeat.

 

Notes:

Let the cake cool completely before frosting.If you try frosting the cake before it is warm, the frosting will melt and run off the sides.

  17. Spoon a large dollop of whipping cream onto the centre of the cake.Use a spatula/Pallette knife to paddle the icing to the edges of the cake.For the sides, use the spatula/ palette knife to smear smaller amounts of icing in sections, turn the cake and repeat.
